STATS, the world’s leading sports data and technology company, and Equibase Company, the Thoroughbred industry’s official database, today announced the launch of STATS True Odds, an easy-to-use handicapping product that predicts how a race may unfold. True Odds is part of STATS Race Lens, the interactive past performance tool released earlier this year, and is now being offered as a standalone product.
“STATS True Odds is great for Thoroughbred racing fans who are new to the game and also for more knowledgeable players who are looking for quick help in assessing a race and picking a winner,” said Equibase President and Chief Operating Officer Jason Wilson. “The easy access to True Odds from your phone makes it a handy resource from any location.”
STATS True Odds has been optimized for mobile devices and includes three key features as part of STATS’ proprietary predictive modeling: a data grid that includes relevant information that is sortable and designed to help make winning selections, a race projection diagram that projects the running of the race, and adjustable win factors that enable the user to change handicapping criteria that determine predicted win probabilities.
“STATS True Odds features a revolutionary algorithm we developed using dozens of racing factors that projects not only how a race may unfold, but also provides the user with a horse’s predicted odds of winning based upon our proprietary calculations,” said STATS Chief Technology Officer Darryl Lewis.
STATS True Odds is available for purchase at equibase.com, trackmaster.com and at TVG’s handicapping store at tvg.com. More information about STATS True Odds and STATS Race Lens is available at stats.com/racelens.
